ORS 153.070 lets Oregon drivers enter a not-guilty plea and request Trial by Written Declaration in lieu of appearance. Mail your signed written declaration of defense and any exhibits within 30 days of the citation. No bond is required. If you lose, ORS 153.080 gives you 30 days to request a trial de novo.
